Choose address jumpers according to specific installation requirments. - The last physical device on the SCSI bus must be terminated. Any other SCSI device connected between the host and the device at the end of the bus must NOT be terminated. - Install a 50-pin ribbon connector. The striped edge of the 50-pin ribbon cable represents pin 1 and must be oriented towards pin 1 at the drive connector and the host connector. - Install the DC power connector. - Secure the drive in a bay with 6-32 x 1/4" screws. - Set the drive type in the AT BIOS setup to "not installed". Note: This intelligent drive will identify itself to the system and SCSI host adaptor. - The drive is now ready for partitioning and high-level formatting with any operating system. For example: Partition the drive using the FDISK program from MS-DOS version 3.3 or higher. High-level format the drive using the FORMAT command from MS-DOS version 3.3 or higher.
